Savannah Squares

Limited series · 24 episodes

One episode for every square in Savannah’s historic district.

In 1733 James Oglethorpe laid out Savannah around a grid of public squares, and most of them are still there. Each episode visits one: who planned it, who it’s named for, what happened there, and what to look for when you’re standing in it. Episodes run about 4 to 11 minutes, short enough to hear from a bench in the square.
